POWER TO END STROKE
SNPhA has partnered with the American Stroke Association (ASA) on the Power to End Stroke initiative. Chapters are awarded points for screening and outreach events promoting awareness. SNPhA actively educates patients on lifestyle changes, medication therapy, self-care, and appropriate monitoring for cardiovascular disease.

Avery Hlavinka
Howdy! My name is Avery Hlavinka and I’m a P1 student. Although I’ve only just begun at the College of Pharmacy, I have worked with SNPhA in the past through TAMUK’s Pre-Pharmacy Association. I am so excited to be joining SNPhA in their cause to serve the people of the medically underserved areas in and around Kingsville, which became my home throughout my time as an undergraduate. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as a committee chair for TAMU SNPhA and can’t wait to see what this year holds in store for all of us.

Shireen Rasheed
Howdy, my name is Shireen Rasheed and I am currently a P2. I joined SNPhA after I learned because I came familiar with them during the various service learning events they put on last year. SNPhA appealed to me because of their dedication to target care to the underserved community. I want to contribute to making the A&M chapter active through work on the Power to End Stroke Committee.
