CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE

This initiative’s purpose is to increase awareness on the risk factors and disease states that can lead to chronic kidney disease (CKD). Chapters are awarded points based on screenings, distribution of health information, and awareness during National Kidney Awareness Month every March.

Hello, my name is Stephanie Obilom. I am currently a P3 at Texas A&M College of Pharmacy. I first joined SNPhA as a P1 because I wanted to join an organization that would guide and aid in my journey as a student pharmacist and also I was impressed on all the work they did in the local community. This will be my first year as a committee chair for SNPhA and I hope to continue the great legacy that has already been set here in Kingsville, Texas.

My name is Ayesha Sayed and I am currently a P2. I joined SNPhA this year because of what I heard about them and observed my P1 year. I admire how they serve the underserved and hope to be a part of this great community and inspire others to join as well. As the co-chair for chronic kidney disease, my plan is to raise awareness for CKD in the community. I aspire to represent SNPhA to the best of my abilities.
